You’ve written a great post and you’re ready to pin it to Pinterest, but you aren’t sure what the best practices are. Here are 6 tips for pinning to Pinterest to help you get the most out of your pins.

1. Create a vertical image
The truth is vertical pins perform better. They stand out in the feed and draw attention more to your pins. Keep your image at a 2:3 ratio. You can easily do this by making your pin 1000 x 1500. 2. Make your brand the focus
Put your product or service front and center in your images. You can do this by using images that are directly from your products or that directly relate to your service. Don’t use images that are abstract or do not relate in any way.
3. Include your logo or website on every pin
Include your logo or website on every pin, but keep it subtle. This helps build brand awareness. NOTE: Avoid the lower-right corner, since that spot gets covered up by product icons.
4. Add text overlays
Make your pin stand by adding keywords to the image. Keep it easily readable and add a call to action when you can.
5. Optimize your pin copy
Clear titles and descriptions that include keywords help your pin be discovered. You have up to 100 characters in the title and 500 characters in your description.
6. Check your link
Make sure that your links work properly and that the page loads quickly.
